Overview

We’re looking for a strong full-stack engineer to join our Learning team at Seismic as a Senior Software Engineer II. In this role, you’ll help design, build, and scale cloud-based systems that power learning and enablement experiences for global customers. You will play a key role in modernizing systems into a scalable microservices architecture using Node.js and React. 

Who you are:

    • 6–10 years of software development experience in a SaaS environment. 

    • Strong contributor who takes ownership of complex problems and drives solutions end-to-end. 

    • Experience building and scaling full-stack applications across multiple projects. 

    • Ability to think both tactically and strategically with focus on long-term quality. 

    • Strong focus on software quality, reliability, and operational excellence. 

    • Solid experience with Node.js (backend) and React (frontend). 

    • Experience with microservices architecture, REST APIs, and system design. 

    • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 

     

    Nice to Have 

    • Experience working on learning platforms or content systems 

    • Exposure to analytics or personalization systems 

    • Experience with video/content delivery systems 

What you'll be doing:

    • Develop, improve, and maintain backend services (Node.js) and frontend applications (React), ensuring seamless integration across the Seismic platform. 

    • Handle high-priority, customer-facing defects, quickly diagnosing and resolving issues in production systems. 

    • Migrate business functionality to a scalable microservices-based architecture. 

    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build and deploy impactful features. 

    • Deliver end-to-end solutions across backend APIs and frontend experiences. 

    • Participate in code reviews, bug triage, and continuous quality improvements.
