Overview

As the first Data Scientist to join our team in Hyderabad for the Corporate Data and Analytics department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data science practice. You’ll be responsible for establishing processes and guidelines that will lay the foundation for future team members, setting standards for excellence and innovation within the group. 

 

The ideal candidate should have experience with sales data (such as Salesforce), statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques using tools such as Python, R, or similar platforms. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable insights and present findings to stakeholders. 

Who you are:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data science or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Python or R, experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Snowflake and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Salesforce experience a plus. 
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales-related datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns, such as identifying key drivers of revenue growth or forecasting sales trends to inform business strategy.  

  • Model Development: Design, develop, and implement machine learning models using Python and scikit-learn to build predictive models for applications such as customer segmentation and lead scoring, enhancing the efficiency of sales and marketing initiatives. 

  • Algorithm Implementation: Research and apply appropriate machine learning algorithms and tools, including TensorFlow and PyTorch, to address business challenges like churn prediction and opportunity scoring, driving informed decision-making. 

  • Develop Processes: Establish best practices and standardized processes for developing new models, leveraging version control systems and automation tools to optimize workflow and model deployment. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions, resulting in more accurate models that address real business needs and foster strong partnerships across departments.
